Why a classic

Why this book is a classic to me is because how Vonnegut uses a lot of flash backs ant flash forwards. This book was written in the 60s so Vonnegut uses socialism views which at the time were big upset because a lot of people were thinking capitalism doesn’t work. This whole book was a satire about human life also.

summary

Elliot Rosewater inherited over 87 million from the Rosewater Company. A lawyer named Norman was trying to prove Elliot is insane so his client Fred Rosewater can inherit that money. The book talks about how Elliot went to the town of Rosewater and there he helps that town by giving advice and giving them money. Elliot is a drunk and it comes clear that he goes insane where he has to help people but he doesn’t have any morals. The book ends in a insane asylum where Elliot is going to give Fred Rosewater a lot of money to drop the whole case.
